With some familiar items and faces gone, we have moved into our fall season market, also wonderful in its distinct, own way. Come for the PSL season, and think sweaters for our morning hours, and shed a layer or so from about 10 a.m. on. Replace Lamb with another meat, as Lamb won’t be back till springtime. Replace Stone Fruits, with apples and pears, and in lieu of shopping from Ulmer Mountain View Farms, plan to investigate our other produce merchant. Here’s wishing you new favorites from among Sunflower Flats, Hearthstone Farm, Little Hat Creek, Paradox, Singing Earth, and Hermitage Hollow. While we will miss Robin Ulmer, we will still have everything you want, and starting just last week all the winter squash and gourds are a riot of colors, flavors and textures. Come see what’s perfect for your front porch, staircase, mantlepiece, dining room sideboard, table and more. Mums will be here any second now, too! Expect PSL to finally pop up at many booths, in many new ways and I for one, am here for it!
See you at market… 8am – 12:30 Wednesdays till the very end of the year, in the heart of historic, walkable downtown Lexington. The early bird gets the worm….. Also, keep in mind most all the nearby shops open from 10am, so come see us and your friendly local merchants all in the same trip. Tons of parking all around Main street and surrounding side streets and secondary lots, and it’s even worth checking McCrum’s for the odd spot. Maybe it’ll be your lucky day!
